Cultivating Connection Through Shared Passion

About the Bristol Hoteliers Association

The Bristol Hoteliers Association is a non-profit group bringing together the key hotels in Bristol and the surrounding areas. We are chaired and run by hotel General Managers, and our focus is simple: to promote and grow hospitality and tourism across the region.

We re-formed back in January 2017, and we've grown to 29 members since. Through the year we host meetings, events and awards all aimed at connecting our members and giving them something genuinely useful.

Adam Flint took over as chair in April 2026. "I am confident that, with the support from everyone, we will continue to run a fantastic organisation. My passion for hospitality and the industry continues to be stronger than ever, and this new role enhances this even more."

Working together for Bristol

The thing that really defines the BHA is how closely we work with each other, and with the city itself. Adam adds "Our ability to work with key leaders within the city and surrounding areas allows us to voice and steer many things to the good of the industry. In terms of the city, changes and developments will continue and it is so important that the BHA remains involved and supportive across the board."

Every couple of months we hold meetings that any member can come to, with guest speakers sharing their take with the room. And we're always glad to welcome new members, relevant speakers and sponsors.

Celebrating our industry

Then there's our Night of the Stars Gala. Once a year it pulls more than 400 people into one room to celebrate the people behind Bristol hospitality. The individuals, the teams, the hotels going above and beyond for their hotels, guests and communities. For a lot of our GMs it's the night they look forward to most, and honestly, it just couldn't happen with out the amazing support of our sponsors.

A lot goes on behind the scenes too, through steering groups like People and Social & Charity. The aim is always the same: to give something back to the city and the people in it. We're particularly proud of the People group, which works with schools, colleges and local organisations to open up work experience, support education, and show young people that hospitality is a career worth having.
